How do you join them in the first place?
In [A Cycle of Debt] background,
I believe you need to get get harassed by the debt collectors once or twice, then you will get an event where you are at a bar, and overhear their (ziwa mercs) conversation.
You will have the option to steal a weapon, or go talk to them.
If you talk to them, you will be used as bait (and fight a vampire?)
They will kill it, and give you a letter of reccomendation.
Alternatively, I believe you can bribe or threaten them for the letter (unsure of any repercussions from this)
